BIO

I'm a photographer based in Køge, Denmark specializing in architecture, interiors and design.

Born in Copenhagen, I’ve lived more than 20 years of my life outside Denmark, in USA, Hong Kong, and Australia.

I bought my first SLR camera in Stanley Street, Hong Kong, and decided to figure out how to use it creatively shortly after I moved to Sydney in 2001.

This was the start of my photographic journey, and I’ve lived and breathed photography ever since. As a side effect, I’ve also developed a mild obsession with photography books, forever running out of shelf space.

I like to say that I find the blend of technique and creativity fascinating, sometimes frustrating, other times rewarding, but always very therapeutic.

My work has been published in magazines and books and won multiple photography awards.

I strive to capture the essence of a building, revealing its form, spatial qualities, and details. Through my architectural photography I hope to give architecture a narrative and a sense of place within its environment.

I’m a dual citizen of Denmark and Australia; two countries that are equally close to my heart. This privilege has given me an appreciation of the difference between the more soft or diffused light in Denmark and the harsher, more direct sunlight in Australia.

Good light is, of course, one of the key ingredients in architectural photography. My job is to follow the sun and know how to work with different lighting conditions in different locations on any given day.

Today I live in the historical town of Køge in Denmark, located 20 minutes outside Copenhagen.
